Kathryn + Sam // The Sweetest Intimate Wedding

There is just something so magical about weddings. Seeing two people who are madly in love with each other, come together as one is the most beautiful thing. Kathryn and Sam’s love story is one of my favorite and it was an honor to photograph their big day. Their wedding ceremony was help at The Edward Hopper House Museum, which served as the perfect backdrop for their intimate affair.

Sam wore a grey colored tux, matched with a white shirt and a printed tie to show off a bit of his personality. He was smiling from ear to ear, it was honestly contagious. Kathryn had the same energy as she slipped into her wedding dress, surrounded by her close friends and family. She went for the minimalistic approach with her dress; it featured a V-neck bodice, held together with dainty spaghetti straps. The wedding dress fell to a midi silhouette and was styled with a pair of nude sandals. She also kept her makeup and hair simple, and I loved how she was glowing from inside out.

It was then time to read the letters that they wrote to one another. Sam tried to keep a straight face while reading Kathryn’s letter, but it was very apparent that he was deeply moved by it. Kathryn on the other hand couldn’t hold back her tears and laughter while reading Sam’s letter.

The happy couple read their wedding vows under a beautiful floral arch, and I luckily captured Sam as he wiped a little tear from the corner of his eye. As they shared their first kiss, the crowd erupted in applause.

After the beautiful wedding ceremony, it was time to take some portraits! I was truly in awe of how perfect Sam and Kathryn looked together. As they posed for pictures, it was so evident how much in love they both were with each other. I told them to just forget about everything and everyone else and focus on each other. This allowed me to capture some candid moments which turned out to be my favorite.

As the sun started to go down, it was time for dinner and toasts. Listening to all the beautiful things their friends and family had to say about Kathryn and Sam melted my heart. The night came to an end as the couple cut their two-tiered wedding cake and shared an intimate moment with one another.
